Launching from Cape Canaveral in Florida on a SpaceX rocket, Euclid is set to become a key player in the space game, joining the James Webb telescope hovering at a whopping 1.5 million kilometers from Earth. From that spot, it will create the most massive map of the Universe ever seen, covering up to two billion galaxies across more than a third of the sky. That's right, billions of galaxies just waiting to be explored! But here’s the real kicker - Euclid's mission is like nothing we've ever seen before. With its advanced scientific instruments, Euclid is going to help us uncover two of the universe's greatest mysteries - dark energy and dark matter. These two forces make up a whopping 95% of our Universe, and we still know almost nothing about them. Crazy, right?

That's where Euclid comes in. By measuring the shape and distance of galaxies, Euclid will contribute to building a map of the Universe that will provide a new view of our history since its inception 13.8 billion years ago. Euclid's "dark detective" superpowers will allow it to search for the absence of visible matter to calculate the presence of dark matter, offering critical clues about the nature of both dark energy and dark matter. Euclid's wide field of view is equivalent to two full moons, making it different from previous space telescopes. And here’s the cherry on top - Euclid's discoveries could lead to a better understanding of black holes and other exotic space objects! It's like we're watching a sci-fi movie unfold in real-time.

Euclid's mission is expected to provide valuable data for the field of astronomy, and the first images are set to be released in October! In other words, we’re in for a wild ride!
